Creative Memories has a new Blog!

I'm pretty excited to see Creative Memories puff up a little bit and start promoting themselves on the internet. 

Last winter they opened up their rules allowing Consultants to link to their personal websites in personal blogs and community forums.  Then last week they launched a whole new set of Social Media guidelines and training for Consultants to more effectively use outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to promote the company and their personal businesses.

And today, they launched what promises to be a fun, idea-filled, and information-packed Blog site here.  Mind you, this isn't a simple corporate blog with a single post-a-day.  There are 8 -- yes EIGHT -- separate tabs for their staff and Design Team bloggers:

• BYOB (be your own boss)
• Ideas (all sorts of ideas, not just layouts)
• Free4Me (freebies, freebies, freebies)
• Software Solutions (digital ins and outs)
• Product Solutions (tools, papers, albums, etc.)
• All About Images (good start, but I look forward to seeing where this topic will go)
• Inside CM (promises to be funny and give insights into daily life at their headquarters)
• Why (looks like it's going to explore our stories more ... I think?)

IMHO, Creative Memories has grown tremendously in the last year in their views on marketing.  Their product and corporate marketing seems more fresh and current with trends.  While there is room in the scrapbooking world (both digital and paper) for lots of players, I'm personally very excited to see Creative Memories enter the 21st century and rightfully begin to take back a bit of their market share.

ScrapBuzz is back!

I'm excited to report back in to work -- ScrapBuzz is back, bringing you scrapbook and stamping resources for cardmakers, scrapbookers, and digital scrapbooking lovers.  Over the next few days I'll be changing the blog up a big, changing, adding, deleting, checking and updating the links.  Stay tuned for more updates!

Yes, I'm still here...

Many thanks to everyone who has posted so many supportive comments on my last post.  To say that this has been a difficult year for me personally is a huge understatement, but I'm still here ... pulling my bootstraps up ... and trying to figure out how to juggle too many balls!

Mom passed on not too long after my last blog post.  ScrapBuzz was moved to the back burner while I dealt with many, many issues that followed her death.  I have a very strong desire in my heart to get back to updating ScrapBuzz -- there are so many new resources I've discovered!  But I just have to take one thing at a time.  This is still a GREAT site (imho!) filled with resources, and I hope you'll keep it bookmarked and refer it to your friends who are searching for different stamping or scrapbooking topics.

I hope you are enjoying a fun, memory-filled summer with your loved ones!

ScrapBuzz Taking a Break

I hate to do this, especially since I've got a good momentum going of new readers every day ... but I need to take a break from all blogging & online chatting. 

My Mom has entered the final stages of her disease (Alzheimers), and I need to be there to support my father and help him make plans.  We've moved her to a wonderful Hospice care facility, and now we are simply waiting and praying for a swift end to her suffering.

I posted this picture on my personal blog several months ago.  These photos were taken in November, and they captured a very rare and joyous moment for my Dad and me to see Mom so alert.
